The Spring Sberatel Fair is An Opportunity to Grow Collections and Invest Safely

Sberatel.info

16. March, 2026

More than 80 dealers specializing in coins, banknotes, postage stamps, postcards, and antiques will gather at the Hotel Olympik in Prague on March 20–21. As the largest event of its kind in Central Europe, the Spring Sberatel (Collector) Fair will offer not only rare collectibles but also a wide range of investment gold and silver.

Every item offered at Sberatel is an original with its own story, bringing joy today and potential value growth in the future. However, collecting is primarily about passion and relaxation. In today’s hectic times, visiting the fair serves as an excellent “mental boost.”

The Legendary “Pionýr” Celebrates its 60th Anniversary

This traditional event, which attracts exhibitors from across Europe, will be accompanied by an engaging program. Highlights include premiere of the 0 Euro Souvenir Banknote: Featuring the legendary Czechoslovak Jawa 50/20 Pionýr motorcycle (produced 1966–1980).

To mark the 60th anniversary, a stamp sheet (nine-block), commemorative print, postcards, a gift medal in a blister pack, and a tin sign will be available for purchase.

Concorde Flies to Sberatel

Visitors can enjoy the exhibition “Concorde – A Legend in Collections,” marking 50 years since the first commercial flight of the famous supersonic aircraft. Interestingly, the Concorde has appeared on stamps from countries as diverse as North Korea and socialist Hungary. A seven-block stamp sheet featuring an illustration of a moment that can unfortunately never happen again—the Concorde flying over Prague Castle.

Mercedes-Benz SS Joins Václav Zapadlík’s Golden Collection

A new addition to the collector banknote series from the “Golden Collection” by artist Václav Zapadlík is dedicated to the Mercedes-Benz SS (Super Sport) from 1928–1932.

The car was captured by the famous Czech automotive painter Václav Zapadlík (1943–2018) in a version styled by London’s Corsica Coachbuilding. The banknote was designed by Matej Gábriš, a world-renowned creator of “fantasy” banknotes. The banknote is accompanied by a commemorative print, postcards, a gift medal, and a lacquered tin sign.

Visit the Mobile Post Office for a Special Cancellation

The Czech Post Mobile Office, a general partner of the fair, will be stationed in front of Hotel Olympik on the first day (Friday, March 20). In a brand-new feature, visitors can obtain a special commemorative cancellation.

Investment Tanzanites and Fine Jewelry

Antik Kureš (Stand No. 60) will exclusively offer a collection of tanzanite jewelry, including several investment-grade solitaires. Tanzanite is mined in only one place on Earth—the Merelani Hills in Northern Tanzania.

With limited reserves that geologists estimate may be depleted within decades, high-quality tanzanite is a sought-after investment stone. The stand will also feature luxury scarves and handbags.

Free Valuation Services

A popular consulting service returns this year. Visitors can bring their own coins, stamps, banknotes, autographs, or antiques for a free appraisal by independent experts from professional organizations.
