The most valuable Czechoslovak banknote has a new owner. The five-thousandth state note sold for a record EUR 1 027 200 at an auction in Prague in November 2024, easily surpassing its perforated version, which previously held the record of EUR 580 000.
In the March auctions, investment silver coins worth almost EUR 40 000 or thousand crowns banknote with overprint in an interesting collector’s sequence were sold. Rare vltavins and lithographs by the well-known photographer Jan Saudek also found a new owner.
